It performs the following tasks: – Display your public IP address and your public domain name – Perform download and upload speed tests If you have troubles with your broadband connection, it can: – Troubleshoot and isolate problems by performing a couple of diagnostic tests (NIC card, local gateway, DHCP server, DNS server, web site) – Display local IP configurations (private IP address, MAC address, default gateway, DNS server, DHCP server, routing table, ARP table, active connections) The diagnostic and configuration display features only work on Windows

Broadband Speed Test 1.3

Broadband Speed Test
Dan Elwell’s Broadband Speed Test allows you to test your broadband connection, identify potential problems, monitor performance over time, and generate a set of diagnostic reports that can be helpful when reporting connectivity problems to your ISP. The test features exhaustive test procedures, testing download speeds, upload speeds, ping times, packet loss, trace routes, and network configuration. Results are produced as a color-coded report that can easily be understood by non-technical users. The program uses servers in different geographical locations to ensure that you receive the most accurate results from your tests, meaning the test is accurate for anyone in any country. In addition to this, the Speed Test offers automated testing that can run tests in the background at user defined intervals to automatically produce statistical reports. This allows you to view up-to-date connectivity history at any time without having to run any manual tests.
